The Loft Gallery and I will be collaborating to offer this workshop, sculpting the female portrait in clay. Working from a beautiful live model, we’ll examine key structures and features of the head and face. I’ll be leading the workshop and together we’ll explore techniques to work with hand and tools to capture the likeness, gesture and expression of the model using terracotta paper clay on removeable armature. The removeable armature permits the work to be properly dried and fired.

This 2-day workshop will start at 9:00am sharp and finish at 3:30pm each day. All materials, tools and modelling stand will be provided. The cost of materials and model fees are included. Works can be kiln fired at additional cost.
